Knowledge, attitude, and practice assessment regarding osteoporosis among post-menopausal women attending an urban health centre in south India

Background: This study aimed to assess the awareness of osteoporosis in postmenopausal women. Objective was evaluate knowledge, attitude, and practices about its correlation among women.Methods: Cross-sectional carried out state consecutive women using a validated questionnaire- knowledge assessment tool (OKAT).Results: A total 300 were enrolled this study. In spite being aware consequences osteoporosis, most subjects there generalized lack concerning available treatment options risk factors. We have observed 40% had poor osteoporosis.Conclusions: showed an evident deficit there’s need emphasize educating aware, regarding osteoporosis.
